1. Which pledge class did you cross with?
Alpha Mus
2. What is your major/minor?
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor
in Human Physiology
3. What are your future career plans?
The dream would be to enter into an MD/PhD program
and then (after about 7 more years of school and a few more
years of residency) continue on to work at a teaching hospital
where I can practice medicine and conduct biomedical research.
4. Why did you join KGD?
I was in a lot of other clubs that were fun, but much more serious. I really liked the idea of joining a
sorority, but I knew that I neither had the time nor the personality to fit into the traditional
"sorority girl" mold. That's when I discovered KGD. It was a group of girls that not only shared my
interests and goals, but also love to hang out, be social, and have fun. It was exactly what I was
looking for, and I'm so glad that I rushed.
5. How has KGD changed your life?
Kappa Gamma Delta has given me some of my closest friends and favorite traditions. It has given
me sisters to run to when I desprateley need some coffee or a hug, and it has offered me friends to fall
back on when I need a study buddy. These girls are amazing. Each one is unique in her goals and
interests, but each one shares the same motivations, the same drive, and the same heart that
pushes people into the health care field. Once I decided to become a part of KGD I felt like this group
of girls was exactly where I belonged.
6. What is your favorite part of KGD?
I love the socials. It's great to know that when you're bored, you've always got a large group of
friends to call up and hang out with.
7.What are your interests?
I really like reading mystery novels, dancing around my room, and going out with friends. In
addition, I'm kinda a theatre junkie and loves going out to plays and musicals whenever my
schedule (and my wallet) will allow!
8. What type of extracurriculars are you involved with?
I'm interning in a research lab that looks at SIV as a model for the HIV virus. I work at the Willow
clinic, a student run clinic that serves the homeless population in Sacramento. Also, I'm a member
of the Telemark Dance Troupe, a ballroom dance troupe on campus. And of course, I'm an active
member of Kappa Gamma Delta!
